CNC Design installs Drive Test Center

CNC Design has core competence in drive technologies for various industry sectors. This includes drive solutions for re-newable energy such as power generators, wind energy gearbox testers and motion control solutions for Production machinery and Machine tools. The company will now build a drive system test and development facility in our Melbourne Headquarters.

This will comprise:

• Siemens Sinamics S120 AC drives and AC servo motors with both driving and generating capability.
• A flexible control arrangement for simulating various types of machines and drive and re-generation processes.
• Power monitoring equipment for voltage, current, harmonics, power factor etc.
• Capability for various mechanical coupling arrangements of multiple motors for driving, loading and load sharing.

The system will be housed in a new purpose built room.

This facility will enable us to demonstrate drive and control technologies to our customers and to develop and test new applications.
