Bronx Galvanising Line

CNC Design is now commissioning a large Galvanising line in Slovakia for Bronx International. This is one of their first lines installed in the European Community and also one of their most automated lines.We have been responsible for the supply of the electrical equipment, complete electrical design, cabinet and console manufacture and site commissioning. Our design and commissioning team included four Engineers from Australia and three from Indonesia, so a great team effort.

The line is part of a greenfield site for a customer near Kosice, the second largest city in Slovakia. It will be used to manufacture galvanised steel coils for the local market.

This is a very modern line with servo control of all of the sections of the line. These include the uncoiler, bridle control, line tension control, infeed and outfeed festoon, tension leveller, recoiler and gas control. Our supplied system includes more than 50 Siemens Sinamics S120 AC servo drives with system control via the Siemens Simotion Motion controller.  Multiple operator panels along the line enable control and system status display in both English and Slovak languages.

The system has been supplied in conformance with the CE directives and standards and is one of the larger systems we have supplied to Bronx.
